To take action means to carry out an intention or execute a plan.Those who aspire to become successful athletes, for example, must be willing to spend long hours training and working out. Many people have dreams or aspiration, but not all of us are willing to commit the time and energy required to see our goals through to the finish line. People may fail to act on their ambitions for a variety of reasons, such as laziness, risk aversion or alack of confidence.
